Headquartered in White Plains, New York, K&F Industries is a leading global designer and manufacturer of aircraft wheels, brakes, brake control systems and flexible bladder fuel tanks for commercial transport, general aviation and military aircraft.
Our Aircraft Braking Systems Corporation (ABSC) subsidiary, located in Akron, Ohio, was founded in 1929, tracing its roots to the beginnings of flight. Today, the company holds an approximate 20% share of the worldwide market for aircraft wheels, brakes and brake control systems and an approximate 40% and 50% share, respectively, of the regional aircraft and business jet markets.
Through our subsidiary Engineered Fabrics Corporation (EFC), we are the leading supplier of flexible bladder fuel tanks for the U.S. military, world wide commercial transport and general aviation markets. Many of our customers also utilize EFC iceguards for de-icing and anti-icing of the rotor blades and inlets. EFC also manufactures and sells inflatable oil booms, towable storage bladders and other products made for the military and commercial uses. EFC, like ABSC, has its beginnings with the advent of flight in 1929. EFC is based in Rockmart, Georgia.
